Cycle Training

We have a vision to give anyone in Fife the opportunity and confidence to cycle by offering training to individuals, schools, colleges, workplaces, local clubs and community groups.

We are developing our cycle training sessions so, if you would like to be added to our waiting list, please drop us a message using our contact form and we will contact you regarding availability; or visit Cycling Scotland’s dedicated training page on their website.

Bikeability

Bikeability Scotland is cycling proficiency for the 21st century, designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.

View a series of short video clips taken during a training session and see how much fun learning to ride your bike can really be.

Bikeability has been introduced to help make cycling an everyday activity, an alternative mode of transport, a way to keep healthy and above all, lots of fun!

This programme is being co-ordinated and delivered by Fife Council’s Travel Planning team and has, to date, trained over 2,000 children with the help of volunteers.

All our instructors have been trained to deliver Bikeability. Many hold other coaching, leadership and mechanical qualifications and have undertaken many courses to ensure their continual development and enhance our reputation as one of the best training providers in Scotland.

Our instructors have been trained to deliver in Fife and know the roads and area very well. Above all, they are all regular cyclists who are very passionate about what they do; and are keen to help develop the cyclists of the future. However, we are always looking for new people to become trainers so, if this sounds like it could be you and you would like to join in the fun, then please contact us direct at bikeability@fife.gov.uk.
